The first LGU-themed exhibit of Sidlakang Negros Village opens on Friday, August 19, 2011, 05:00 PM at the SNV Administration Building.
Dubbed “VALLEHERMOSO: THE BEAUTIFUL VALLEY,” the exhibit is presented by the Provincial Government through the Provincial Tourism Office to highlight the town and its pride-making assets and achievements.
Senior Tourism Operations Officer Myla Mae B. Abellana said the exhibit will feature the Negros Oriental Launching of the coffee table book “Vallehermoso” authored by Ms. Tess Lopez.
Abellana said Governor Roel R. Degamo and Vallehermoso Mayor Joniper T. Villegas are expected to grace the exhibit opening and book launching. Copies of the coffee table book will be on sale at the Lobby.
Local government officials, various government offices, heads of schools and the academic community have been invited as both exhibit and the coffee table book provide accessible opportunities to better get acquainted with this northern town’s rich history, culture and arts, tourist sites, and products including crafts and native delicacies, Abellana added. Admission is free.
“Vallehermoso” closes on September 2, 2011.
