One of the priorities of the provincial government as contained in its program of government, dubbed as the Sa Probinsiya—MagDEGAMOI Ta!, is to create job and livelihood opportunities.

This is the reason why every opportunity that comes its way is always considered by the provincial government as an opportunity to attain its goal to uplift the quality of life of the people in the province.

Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo made this statement after the Department of Agriculture, through the Bureau of Animal Industry, turned over the different breeds of livestock which are ready for dispersal to target beneficiaries in the province.

Earlier, the BAI turned over the first batch of 39 Anglonovian goats to Governor Degamo to be distributed to about 15 farmer beneficiaries in the province.

BAI representatives also met with the governor to inform the latter that the province is a recipient of various breeds of livestock for dispersal to another group of beneficiaries in Negros Oriental.

These include 10 cows, 10 carabaos and 15 goats which will be released as soon as the governor has identified the farmer beneficiaries.

Governor Degamo said this will certainly help the provincial government in its desire to provide livelihood opportunities especially to the farmers in the province.
