Negros Oriental Governor Roel Ragay Degamo recently turned over three brand new equipment to the municipality of Zamboanguita through Mayor Kit Marc Adanza.

The three new equipment cost some 5 million pesos which include one pay loader, one road roller and one mini-dump truck.

The three equipment are in addition to the grader which was earlier donated by the provincial government to Zamboanguita.

Governor Degamo said this is part of the provincial government’s goal to strengthen its cooperation with the various cities and municipalities in the province.

The governor said he recognizes the need of the local government units for heavy equipment as they are vital to bring about developments in their respective areas of jurisdiction especially in the hinterland barangays.

The provincial government itself has acquired 11 brand new heavy equipment in order to bolster its aim to establish mobile engineering units throughout the province as well as its efforts on disaster mitigation and preparedness activities.
